Chan eil mi eòlach air a chursa siud is chan eil mi cinnteach dè cho math a bhios e le structar cursa na Berula aige.
Tha e math faicinn co-dhiù gu bheil cuideigin a' dèanamh obair den seòrsa seo!

Cha tuirt Mghr Codona dad mu dheidhinn an rud 'ud an turas mu dheireadh a bha mi a' bruidhinn ris.
Chan eil mi measail air LiveMocha idir idir, ach math tha barrachd stuth ann de gach seorsa, 's docha gum bi siud feumail.
Why I don't like LiveMocha:
1) As Alasdair says, the course doesn't really take into account the grammar of the language being learnt -- the developers were thinking in English when they made the site.
2) Last I checked, it only downloaded sound files at the last minute, forcing you to wait between questions while it downloaded. A lot of the problems with the methodology could be ignored if it was at least a bit more "quickfire".

Saoilidh mi nach bi sin a' dèanamh cron sam bith - cò aig a tha fios, 's dòcha gun tig piseach às.
Gheibhear cothroman san àm ri teachd ma tha duine sam bith a' lorg airgid?

Tha mi a' tighinn fadalach dhan chomhradh seo (duilich). Ach ma's ma mo thuigsinn, bidh na cursaichean saor an asgaidh, ach bidh e comasach dhut tidsear prìobhaideach fhaighinn airson airgead. Bhitheadh sin ceart gu leòr, na mo bheachd fhìn.Gràisg wrote:Saoilidh mi nach bi sin a' dèanamh cron sam bith - cò aig a tha fios, 's dòcha gun tig piseach às.

A bheil an cùrsa seo beò Rhuairidh? Chaidh mi ann ach feumaidh mi aidicheadh nach eil mi buileach a’ tuigsinn a h-uile càil ann an Live mocha.
Saoilidh mi gu bheil beàrn sa mhargaidh airson cùrsaichean slàn saor an asgaidh (nan robh iad math gu leòr) gus gàidhlig a dh’ionnsachadh le taic a bharrachd ma tha airgid agad. Tha Ulpan agus cùrsaichean eile buailteach a bhith ro chosgail do mòran dhaoine gu h-àraidh aig an àm a tha seo.

Chan eil cùrsa Gàidhlig ann fhathast.
Chlàr mi air LiveMocha agus tha e rud beag annabarach.
Cha lorg thu daoine a bhios a' bruidhinn no ag ionnsachadh Gàidhlig ach tro phùtan 'Search', ach tha na daoine anns an liosta a nochdas cha mhòr uile neonach: m.e. 'Native Speaker Scots Gaelic' + 'Intermediate/Beginner English' agus a' fuireach ann an Ameireaga a Deas...
Tha faclan agus abairtean Beurla-Gàidhlig a nochdas ann am bocsa air an duilleag-dhachaigh agad agus bu chòir dhut ceart no ceàrr a còmharrachdh. Ach tha mòran fhaclan Gàidhlig ann nach eil 'GOC-ceart' sracan, doigh-sgrìobhaidh etc. Dè an fhreagairt ceart?
Chan eil cothrom ann beachdan a chuir an sin - tha an deasbad mu dheidhinn a' gabhal àite air an fhòram ACGA.
Obh, agus fhuair mi 'PMs' gun chrìoch ag iarraidh orm teachdaireachdan Beurla a cheartachadh... Duilich!

The "premium" paid-for offering from LiveMocha:
Downloadable videos of the "learn" part (but apparently not the exercises)
Downloadable audio of the "learn" part (but apparently not the exercises)
Downloadable text of the "learn" part (but apparently not the exercises)
So far, so underwhelming. One thing left:
A teacher! Great! Oh, wait:
I'm sorry, but that's just pathetic.

That sounds more than weak. Basically, you get a professional to mark and give feedback on the exercises you take as part of the course anyway. Once a month.10 Exercise Reviews by Qualified Italian-speaking Tutors
Monthly Reviews for Continuous Improvement
