Gaelic-medium provision plans are welcomed'
Cait am faigh iad airgead ge-tà? Bidh a' chomhairle a' tilleadh as t-fhoghar gus gearraidhean eile de £36 million a chur air dòigh. Am bidh iad bàidheil don Ghàidhlig an ath-thuras? Cha do chleachd iad an 418K a fhuair iad bhon Bhòrd gus plana Gàidhlig a chuir air dòigh nas motha. Mura a bheil iad airson sin a dhèanamh sin agaibh 418K a bhiodh feumail do fhoglam aig an ìre chudromach seo!
'Highland councillors have welcomed proposals to draw up a plan for Gaelic-medium provision for toddlers in the north.
The council’s Gaelic committee agreed a full report on provision should be worked up after more detailed discussions with Gaelic medium service providers Bord na Gaidhlig and the umbrella organisations TAIC (formerly CNSA) and Care and Learning Alliance.
Sam Brogan, Highland Council’s early years resource manager, informed members that a mapping exercise of current 0-3 year olds Gaelic-medium provision had been carried out during which visits were made to some 30 playgroups throughout the Highlands.
This showed that TAIC has a network of 31 parent-and-toddler and croileagan groups throughout the Highlands serving some 245 children.'
