'Near 'racist' language of anti-Gaelic comments
Published: 08 October, 2010
Sir, Robin Matthew writes an interesting anti-Gaelic letter (Courier 28.9.10).
If I wrote in similar tone about the Polish language, for example, or about people with disability, there would be an out-cry from every quarter.
Why do the anti-Gaelic Brigade use such near racist words as "minority", "Mafia", gravy train" etc? More important, why should they get away with their ignorant rants?
On a point of fact Mr Matthew, Gaelic was (is and always will be) the first language of Scotland.
Try some research, instead of such bigoted ignorant clap-trap.
