If you have any ideas on how to make this place better, discuss away!
What is important to me, is that we can get moderators who are fluent or native speakers.
With all due respect to two or three year self-taught learners, unless you don't have iron-clad proof, be careful in your attempts to correct other learners, even if you have made impressive progress. I perfectly understand that intermediate learners are keen to share their knowledge, and there is nothing wrong with that, but keep in mind that your advise may be not quite right.
If you are guessing or suggesting, make it clear that you are not a teacher, not a native, not a fluent bi/multilingual speaker.
Explaining grammar can be difficult for a native speaker, but he can give us priceless advice how to speak naturally.
I have a fairly good grasp of grammar, but I tend to the odd silly mistake. I think I have understood the Gaelic mindset, but I am far away from genuine fluency.
Taing do Ghun Chleoc airson am bòrd brath a dhèanamh (ach, duilich, duilich, chan e fileantach a th' annad, an e?).
A Choinnich chòir, tha mi an dòchas gum bi thu deònach ar cuideachadh fhathast. Mòran taing do Steapan, còrdaidh e rium glan naidheachd bhuat a leughadh.
Tha mi an dòchas nach bi sibh a' fàs sgith dhinn a dh' aithgheàrr.

My job as techy admin here is to make sure the forum is up and running, and I have to rely on other people to help with the Gaelic.
