Hi,

Stuart from Ayrshire.

Been playing around with Gaelic on my own for a couple of years now without really getting very far..

One of my New Years Resolution's was to do it properly, so last night I signed up (along with my sister) for the ULPAN Gaelic course at Kilmarnock College.

Great to find an active Gaelic speaking forum! :D

I hope you'll enjoy the Ùlpan! :D

Depending on the teacher, you won't get much gammar explanations. So. if any of the grammar mystifies you, come to us and we will help.

Fàilte!
:D
Hope you enjoy your lessons and both come on here to practise what you've learned. As GunChleoc implies, lots of grammar freaks on here who'll be only too happy to help! :spors:

Ulpan course start delayed a month due to lack of numbers :(

They need 12 and currently we are only 3

If the three of you can agree to meet to practise together in the meantime with books/online material, or via Skype, that's a good way to keep in practice, use the time profitably, and not have to jump into cold water when the course does take off!

'S ann an Inbhir Air fhèin a rugadh 's thogadh m'athair 's tha mi eòlach air. Càite bheil thu?

My father was born and raised in Ayr itself and I know it well. Where are you?
