No disrespect intended to Am Faclair Beag, which is one of my favorite sites.

Faclair beag is a superb resource, the best there is, but as it is a result of the labours of only one or two people, one can still come across quite a lot of mistakes over the course of its use.
With the Faclair na Gàidhlig, one would hope that the final edition will have no mistakes whatsoever!!!

Thanks for all the kind words

Glad to hear people are finding it useful.
Yes, there's bits in there which are wrong but by all means, drop me an email if you find something, the beauty of it is that I can fix instantly. We could open a thread for reporting mistakes.
Regarding the other dictionary, I think it's good news but it probably raises all sorts of wrong expectations. It's a historical dictionary, which most languages develop at some point, but it's not a tool for everyday use in any shape or form unless you're a linguist or lexicographer. They look a little bit like this (making a lot of it up, too late to go hunting for real examples):
chicken (n) fowl, usually the female of a species. Old English cycen. First recorded in Domesday Book 1066
fyrir cycen vuoron zi holza blablabla
Which is nice to know of course but of limited use to everyday users.
Dè thachair ri mobheurla.rud?
It was very quietly pulled.
