I'm trying to help out a fire service pipe band in the U.S.

They are trying to work out a gramatically correct motto equating to "honour the fallen".

They have come up with "Urramaich do mairbh". Does that construction make much sense ? I was more inclined to go with something like "Cuir an t-urram air na mairbh" but my Gaelic is nowhere good enough to know if this is reasonably idiomatic. What do people think ?

So, I'd say "Urram do/dha na mairbh", or "Urram air na mairbh", or "Thoir/ cuir urram..."

If you'revusing a verb, make sure to use the plural form with -ibh.
