Fàilte dhan fhòram / Welcome to the forum
Hàllo, is mise Erika, agus ag ionnsachadh mi Gàidhlig. Tha mi anns a Fìobha.
Currently using LearnGaelic app and Gaelic in 12 Weeks, as well as daily listening to BBC RnG. Also hoping to start weekly Skype lessons next week, had a few last summer but had to completely stop Gaelic due to uni taking up more than all my time!
Hoping to get some people I can chat with in Gaelic most days and hopefully some I can have regular Skype chats with.

Cad é mar atá sibh ? Mise Stephen. As Learphol mé. Tá mé i mo chonai in Nua-Shéalainn. Rugadh i Sasana mé. Tá mé ag foghlaim gaelige ar feadh a haon déag mhí. Is maith liomsa gaelige. Tá sé go hálainn. Chuaigh mé go hÉirinn agus dTuaisceart Éireann ar feadh trí seachtaine i mí Dheireadh Fómhair agus labhair mé bunscoil bhunúsach nuair a bhí mé ann ! Sláinte maith agaibh !!!

It's Scottish Gaelic, not Irish, that we speak on this forum, but if you're interested in our language you're very welcome to stay around.
There's an Irish forum here - maybe they can help you:

Halò a h-uile charaid na Gàidhlig...
Hello all Gaelic friends...
Is mise Sean às na Stàitean Aonaichte.
My name is Sean from the United States.
Thòisich mi ag ionnsachadh Gàidhlig ann an 1997... ge-tà, tha e air a bhith na rathad slaodach... a dh'aindeoin sin, gu cinnteach saothair gaoil.
I began learning Gaelic in 1997... however, it's been a slow road... nonetheless, most certainly a labour of love.
Dhòmhsa, bhiodh beatha a ’faireachdainn falamh às aonais Gàidhlig a bhith an làthair.
For me, life would feel empty without the presence of Gaelic.
Chan eil an t-adhartas slaodach agam, ged a tha e eagallach, a ’cur stad orm bho bhith a’ cleachdadh cuid de Ghàidhlig gach latha.
My slow progress, although daunting, doesn't prevent me from utilising some Gaelic everyday.
Tha cuid de dh ’fhaclan a’ tighinn bho mo cheann; tha cuid de dh ’fhaclan a’ tighinn bhon eadar-theangaire ...
Tha an deòin agus an oidhirp uile a ’tighinn bhon chridhe.
Some words come from my head; some words come from the tr*nsl*t*r...
All the willingness and effort come from the heart.
Tha a h-uile duine an-còmhnaidh na neach-tòiseachaidh, oir bidh sinn ag ionnsachadh rudeigin ùr gach latha.
Everyone is always a beginner, as we learn something new each day.
Tha mi toilichte gun d ’fhuair mi am fòram; agus a ’coimhead air adhart ri bhith ag ionnsachadh nas urrainn dhomh, agus a’ cur nas urrainn dhomh. Tapadh leibh airson fàilte a chuir orm.
I'm glad to have found the forum; and look forward to learning all I can, and contributing what I can. Thank you for welcoming me.

Tha mi duilich, chan fhaca mi seo roimhe.
Sorry, only just spotted this!
Fàite chridheil ort, agus mòran taing airson a' phuist agad! 'S math a rinn thu!
A warm welcome to you, and many thanks for your post. Well done!
Tha Gàidhlig gu leòr agad agus 's urrainn dhut pàirt a ghabail le cinnt anns na deasbadan no ceistean mu ghràmar amsaa sna roinnean eile air an Fhòram.
You have plenty of Gaelic and can certainly take art in discussions or questions about grammar etc elsewhere in the Fòram.
Tha sinn a' dèanamh fiughair ri cluinntinn bhuat a-rithist, air cuspairean eadar-dhealaichte. Lean ort le do sgrìobhadh!
We're looking forward to hearing from you again soon, on different subjects. Carry on with your writing!

Hàlo. 's mise Smeòrach. Tha mi a fuireach ann an Alba.
Tha mi air a bhith ag ionnsachadh Gàidhlig bhon Dàmhair le Duolingo, 'Learn Gaelic' agus a frithealadh leasanan.
Bha Gàidhlig aig mo sheanair ach cha deach mo bhrosnachadh gus an cànan a bhruidhinn.
Tha mi ag ionnsachadh gu slaodachadh agus gu cunbhalach.
Tha mi an dochas m' eòlas a mheudachadh le cuideachadh bhon fhòram seo.
Tapadh leibh.

Halò, a h-uile duine, is mise Ruaridh! Tha mi à Alba, ach tha mi a' fuireach anns an Òlaind a-nis. Thòisich mi ag ionnsachadh Gàidhlig air Duolingo an-uiridh, agus is toil leam ionnsachadh cànain ùra gu mòr.
Hi everyone, I'm Ruaridh! I'm from Scotland, but I live in the Netherlands now. I started learning Gaelic on Duolingo last year, and I really enjoy learning new languages.

"Is fhèarr Gàidhlig bhriste na Gàidhlig sa chiste" (though I'm working on the "bhriste" part)
