But I'm wondering about using verbs of motion to express intent to be in motion.Tha mi a' dol dhan phàirc.
I am going to the park. (I am in motion towards the park)
Tha mi a' dol ga bhualadh.
I am going to hit him. (I have intent to hit him)
I know in English we can say…
…and we (at least where I live) often reduce it to…I am going to go to the park.
…which might have your old English teacher twitching, but in context makes sense. So my question is, can we have the same things in Gaelic (strictly or otherwise)?I am going to the park tomorrow
e.g.
NB: I'm trying to convey a present tense intention, not express actual motion in the future, eg:Tha mi a' dol a dhol dhan phàirc a-màireach
I am going to go to the park tomorrow. (I intend on going to the park tomorrow)
Tha mi a' dol dhan phàirc a-màireach
I am going to the park tomorrow. (I intend on going to the park tomorrow)
Do those make sense?Bidh mi a' dol dhan phàirc [a-màireach]
I will be going to the park tomorrow. (I will be in motion towards the park [tomorrow])
