Hi, im from Turkey and i want your help.
these days I'm curious about 'what does it mean "Turkey"? ", "where did it come from?" and i heard someone "turkey word came from Gaelic from druids' writings".

i searched a couple of hours and i found "faclair.com" then i searched "troy" and found this;

Hi. I'm not sure what answer you're looking for. As for the name for the country, An Tuirc, that has nothing to do with druids and myffic stuff like that. It comes, via other languages, ultimately from the word Türk, same as in most other European languages cf German Türkei. The An is just the definite article which appears in many Gaelic country names (cf An Ostair "Austria" literally "The Austria").

Most likely it comes from English Turkey or possibly via French Turquie.

Tròidh is the city of Troy.

If you mean the bird, the in Gaelic that's eun-Frangach, literally "French bird" but in old words French is often used to denote anything foreign as much trade came via France.
