Thank you for the words, and to everyone else with the vocab.
I'll keep posting in here, and I've got a wee book with phrases that folk help me out with e.g ''earlier'', and hopefully continue to improve.
Great site this, and thanks.
Tha mi a' sealltain air an Rugby an-dràsda.
Alba 6 - 3 Àstralia an-diugh

Bha geam rugbaidh eadar-nàiseanta ann eadar Astràilia 's Alba an t-seachdain seo. Rinn Alba a' chùis oirnn.
(Tha an fhirinn ann, tha mise coma co-dhiu).
There was an international game of rugby this week between Australia and Scotland. Scotland beat us.
The truth is that I couldn't care less who won.

Tha mi ag siopadòireacht.
Bha mi glè trang am seachdain, agus tha mise sgìth an-dràsta.
I was very busy this week, and I am tired now.
Tha mi ag siopadòireacht air-loidhne! (Is toigh leam teoclaidean :-)
I am shopping online! (I like chocolates :-)
The connection with that last bit is that it's often easier to buy vegan chocolates online!

Dè tha thu a' dèanamh?
Tràth (seo madainn), bha mi a còcaireachd.
Tha mi a-stigh an-dràsta, agus tha mi a' bruidhinn ri an cat.
Earlier (this morning), I was cooking.
I am at home now, and I am talking to the cat.
Dè a' Ghàidhlig air, "fussing", "making a fuss of"?

Tha mi airson botal leanna fhosgladh a dh'aithghearr. Thàinig an cùmhnant obrach agam gu crìch an-diugh, ach fhuair mi fear ùr, agus... ciamar an canar "indefinite" san t-seagh seo sa Ghàidhlig?
Gonna open a bottle of beer soon. Got a new (& indefinite) contract of employment for the one terminating today.

Chan eil fios agam ach chanainn-sa meal do naidheachd!
I don't know but I'd say congratulations
@treaclemine:
A bheil Gàidhlig aig do chat?
Does your cat speak Gaelic?
Beagan ceartachadh:
Bha mi glè thrang an seachdain seo
glè lenites
Gaelic for a shop is bùth, not siopa. I don't know if there's a Gaelic word for shopping as such, but you could always say tha mi a' ceannach stuth - I'm buying stuff
a' còcaireachd - you will find later on that the little apostrophe is important
ris a' chat.
