I am (obviously) new here. I'm a first-year university student studying comparative literature (as well as French, Japanese, and ancient Greek). My ancestry is Scottish, although my family has been in the United States for well over a century. I've been dabbling in Gaelic for a number of years now, and I made my resolution this year to make a concerted effort to study the language, instead of just flipping through the first few chapters of Teach Yourself Gaelic. I've been using Scottish Gaelic in Twelve Weeks, which I am enjoying, although I've let my studies lapse since I came back from break in March, what with end-of-semester work. I'll have a lot more time over the summer to work on things (a possible difficulty is the number of other languages I'm considering working on over the summer, but Gaelic is my first priority). I like cats, reading, languages, conlanging, and other things, but I'll leave it at that for now.
So, halò a h-uile duine.
