Lots of good advice for starting, as Graisg said - do follow the links, and plenty of support on here as you try things out.
Personally, I would recommend the little BBC course, Beag air Bheag (includes audio), and or the old Speaking our Language videos on YouTube (or on the new Learngaelic site).
