Celtic Music on Internet Radio...

Unread post by sr3nitygirl »

Apologies for my long absence from the forum... I've been dealing with personal stuff and also setting up a new (and licensed) internet radio station called Hard To Port Radio, and I feature a healthy dose of Celtic music in the schedule (24x7).

It is a Mixed-format station and the website may be found at http://hardtoportradio.com/.

It is also available on iTunes Radio (Eclectic -> Hard To Port Radio) and Tunein Radio (http://tunein.com/ - search for 'Hard To Port Radio').

The Celtic music program, with songs in Gaelic and English, runs as follows (US/Eastern Time):

Celtic (Duration: 1 hour)
Monday to Thursday at Midnight, 11am & 7pm (5am, 4pm & Midnight GMT)
Friday to Sunday at Midnight, 11am & 4pm (5am, 4pm & 9pm GMT)

If you get a chance to listen, I hope you enjoy :)

Been a few changes to the schedule since I last updated.

Ceòl Ceilteach now runs as follows:

06:00 EDT (11:00 BST)
21:00 EDT (02:00 BST)

I've added a considerable amount of Gaelic tracks to the playlist, including the new Mànran album "The Test".

And after a bumpy start, I'm finally re-established on my re-entry course into Gaelic... look out below :)

Bha mi air an làrach-lìn agad (glè mhath!) agus cuideachd air an làrach-lìn a tha a' dèiligeadh ri royalties (StreamLicensing) - tha sin inntinneach! Bha mi riamh a' wondragadh ciamar a bhiodh sin ag obrachadh! :D

Agus math gu bheil fios againn nach eil thu fo eagal ro chur an grèim leis a' phoileas latha brèagha air choireigin! :spors:

(warning - probably full of mistakes, mostly drawing on memory for grammer here... hey! I'm trying!)

Anns na Stàitean, dh'fheumainn "royalties" a pàigheadh dhan "Copyright Agencies" (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SoundExchange, agus SESAC ann an Canada) nuair a chluicheas mi ceòl air an rèidio, ach bidh sin toinnte uaireannan.

Airson na stéiseanan réidio beaga air an eadar-lìon, bidh sibh a' pàigheadh aon uair a h-uile mìos dhan companaidh "StreamLicensing" agus bidh iad a' pàigheadh dhan "Agencies". Tha sin nas fhasa, nach eil?

In the States, I would need to pay royalties to the Copyright Agencies (..) when I play music on the radio, but it's sometimes complicated

For the small radio stations on the Internet, you pay once every month to the Streamlicencing company and they pay to the agencies. That's easier, isn't it?
