Tha stoirm nan seachd sian air a bhith againn. Tòrr mòr uisge 's cha robh sealladh air na beanntain air cùl a' bhaile gu ruige an-dè nuair a sgaoil na sgothan rud beag 's seo an sealladh dh' fhosgail dhuinn:

It's been pretty rainy these past few days and we've had no view of the mountains behind Juneau till yesterday when we got a bit of a break.

mura a bheil an seoladh sin ag obair feuch seo:

Hello GC. How are you today? Many thanks for correcting my silly mistakes. I'm really embarrased now. :naire: I should have realised what I had done but it was too late and only noticed after I'd posted it onto the forum.

Mar sin leat an-dràsta. :D

Tha e dorcha agus sileach a-muigh madainn an diugh. B'fheumaidh mi mosgail agus dol a-mach aig a h-ochd agus chan eil mi sona mu dheidhinn.

Fas mìos an dàmhair, chunnaic sinn an sneachd a' dol na b' ìsle 's na b' ìsle air sleibhtean nam beann gus mu dheireadh, 's ann sa bhaile a bha e.

Throughout the month of October, we've watched the snow get lower and lower on the slopes of the mountains until finally it was in the city itself:

I read a really old Learning Gaelic thing from the 1950s ... the weather was masculine in it. :?

Chan eil i fuar neo fluich ach tha i ghaothach! Cho ghaothach, thàinig mo sheanmhair is mo sheanair an-seo an-dè. Bha iad a' tighinn an-diugh ach tha i cho ghaothach anns na h-Alba chan eil na aiseagan a' ruith idir.

It's not cold or wet but it is windy. So windy my grandparents came here yesterday. They were coming today but it was so windy the ferries weren't running.

Tha eudmhor orm :( Tha mi ag iarraidh sneachd!

Uill, tha an t-sneachd ann a-nis san Eilean ach tha e fhathast san beanntan. A-màireach ged-tà...

I hope this is not too atrocious. Please correct as needed. Bha is a new tense for me, along with the use of an t-usige, ann, and new words an-dè and gaothach.

Bha an t-uisge agus fuar ann an-dè.
Tha i fuar agus gaothach an-diugh.

It was raining and cold yesterday.
It is cold and windy today.

Glè mhath - very good! :D

Tha i fuar agus gaothach an-diugh. is entirely correct!

Bha an t-uisge agus fuar ann an-dè: Rain works a bit differently; you have to say "there was water in it":

Bha an t-uisge ann agus bha i fuar an-dè.

Bha an t-uisge ann agus an-seo.
It was raining here too
