Fosgail an uinneag agus èist ris na h-eòin ma bhios feadhain dhaibh ann.
Open the window and listen to the birds if there are any.
Tha mi an dòchas gum bith thu nas fhèarr a dh' aithghearr!
I hope you'll be better soon!

Bha mi ann am bàr Albannaich an-dè : the Auld Alliance, ann am Paris. Dh'òl mi leann (Tennents) agus dh'èisd mi ri ceòl Albannaich. Bha e cho snog
I was yesterday in a Scottish bar : the Auld Alliance, in Paris. I drank beer (Tennents) and I heard some Scottish music. It was so nice.

Homework is actually "Obair-sgoile". I found this out on a booklet i downloaded from a company who gives them to schools. It was dated 2004 so it is a recent word.

My daughter is doing Higher Gaelic at high school - and at school they certainly use obair-dachaigh for home work. All three of my children had an "obair-dachaigh" jotter at high school for their Gaelic homework. They were taught by two teachers who were both native speakers. So I suppose both obair-dachaigh and obair-sgoile are used for homework. Maybe it's a dialect thing. Anyone else know?

Tha mi dìreach air tilleadh dhachaidh (1.00m). Bha mi a-muigh a’ coimhead air am Mull Rally. Rèisidh 160 càraichean air na rathaidean Mhuile tron oidhche-haoine, feasgar-shatharne agus oidhche-shatharne.

Dealbh às an làrach-lìn Mull Rally
I've just returned home (1.00am). I was out watching the Mull Rally. 160 cars race on the Mull roads on Friday night, Saturday afternoon & Saturday night.

Abair rathad beag! Chan fhaca mi rathad cho caol ri sin a-riamh. Nach eil sin eagallach?
What a small road! I've never seen such a narrow road. Isn't it scary?

Tha sin an rathad mòr ann am Muile. Chan eil e eagallach idir. 'S e solasan-iùil, cuairteanan agus mòr-rathaidean air tìr-mòr a tha eagallach.
(Thèid na rathaidean a dhùnadh a h-uile bliadhna nuair a bhios na càraichean a’ rèiseadh.)
That's the main road on Mull. It's not scary at all. It's traffic lights, roundabouts and motorways on the mainland that are scary.
(The roads are closed every year when the cars are rallying. )
