Ceol 's Craic is proud to present this months headline act

Mary Jane Lamond
Mary Jane is a leader in the preservation of Celtic heritage, and an expert in Celtic
culture and Gaelic music. She has earned several Juno and East Coast Music Award
nominations and awards for her unique style that combines traditional Gaelic songs
with modern musical arrangements. Well known for her unique vocals featured on the
smash radio hit Sleepy Maggie (with Ashley MacIsaac), she has since composed and
produced tracks for television, feature films, and specialty projects. Mary Jane's
latest recording Storas (Gaelic meaning "a treasure") is a stunning interpretation
of Scottish Gaelic songs that have become part of Nova Scotia's Gaelic tradition.
Her hypnotic vocals and heartfelt delivery are complemented by modern instrumentation
and arrangements. This unique approach brings these traditional songs alive for
the listener.

Plus music from

Brendan Campbell

Born and bred in Pollok in Glasgow, Brendan Campbell learned to play a tin whistle
and the guitar as a child, going on to finger pick his way into a number of Celtic
folk bands.
Combining this musical background with his experiences of growing up on the streets
of Glasgow's South Side he has developed a sound that is both contemporary and timeless.
Twilight Bird was described by the Sunday Times Culture as an "astonishing debut
EP", and thanks to strong support from Steve Lamacq and XFM, Brendan has become
one of Scotland's most promising new folk musicians.
