Julie Fowlis (& others) "Dual" album lyrics?

Unread post by Daenyth »

I'd love to be able to follow along with her collaboration album "Dual", but I can't find the lyrics anywhere I've looked, and I'm not yet skilled enough to parse it by ear.

Does anyone know where they might be found?

That site is a great resource but unfortunately hasn't been updated with her new albums :(

Her other albums, including her latest "Uam" have lyrics on her site. Just can't find it for this one.

Don't look for the album, look for the songs. Since they are traditional songs, many of them have been sung before, although it might not be the exact same verses.

Tapadh leibh! That's a great idea, I'll try that. Is it alright if I double post a bit here if I find the lyrics (in case others would like to see them)?

Unfortunately the only things I've been able to find lyrics for are songs that also appear on other albums (Alasdair mhic cholla ghasda, An eala bhan). Whenever I try to search for the song title, I only get results for the album itself. :(

I'd ideally like to have them all, but I'm especially interested in tracks 8 & 9, which are "Duan na Muiligheartaich & Laoi na Mna Mora" and "An Coisir / Chuirinn mo ghiollan a dh' iomain nan caorach"

Edit: From what I can tell, the liner notes have the lyrics, so I'll see if I can get a hold of that..

Edit: With the song sets, I also tried searching for the individual names. No luck either :(

Yes, seems like it. That's what you get for buying music downloads

S'pose you could always try emailing Julie fhèin - tha mi a' creidsinn gu bheil i na ball de AbairThusa, m.e.

'S fheàrr leamsa Katie Tunstall, ach chan eil i a' seinn sa Ghàidhlig.

Afraid I don't quite understand you yet... From a dictionary lookup, is the second part "I prefer Katie Tunstall, but she doesn't sing in Gaelic"?
