Halo a chàirdean

Halo a chàirdean, Tha mi duilich ach tha ach beagan gaighlig agam. Is mise Seán, tha mi as a Éire. (Ciamar a chanas mi Ireland as Gaidhlig?)
I don't speak Gaidhlig, just Gaeilge, so forgive me if any of the above is nonsensical. I'm a fond supporter of the Irish language, but I've recently expanded that love towards other languages such as Gaidhlig and Manx. I'm heading to the Hebrides next summer, so I figured I'd post on here to pick up enough basics to hold a conversation. I don't think the transition will be hard, as Gaidhlig is very similar to Gaeilge and I've a firm grasp on gaeilge.
In any case, ciamar a tha sibh? Mar sin leibh an dràsda. Sin é
Le meas,
Seán
