Sìth Café?

Unread post by Graineag »

A' bheil fios aig neach sam bith ma bhios Sìth Café ann an Glaschu fosgailte fhathast? (... Agus cait a' bheil e? Ciamar a gheibh mi ansin bho Kelvingrove no Byres Road?) Tha mi a' dol a Ghlaschu an t-seachdain seo, agus an uair sin, thèid mi gu SMO airson seachdain! Yay!

Anyone out there know if Sìth Café in Glasgow is still open? (And if so, where is it exactly?) I'll be in Glasgow for a few days this week before heading up to SMO.

I've been told it's been shut for quite a while now. Of course, some would say that a fair-trade, organic, Gaelic, BLG café was a case of too many levels of minority in one go....

Bha e ann am Partaig, faisg air an stèisein, tha mi a' creidsinn. Bha mi airson a dhol ann san t-samhradh ach nochd mi nach robh an làrach-lìn ag obair - tha mi a' creidsinn gu bheil Niall ceart.

Too many minorities? If you add up "fair trade", "organic", "Gaelic", "not totally heterosexual", even allowing for the overlaps, I'm sure you get a majority ...

I'm afraid it's not additive. Consider the conservative religious sentiments of a considerable portion of the Gaelic-speaking population....

Cha b' e sin idir a bh' ann, thuirt Rhoda gur e an àrainneachd eaconamach a bha coireach as; dìreach droch àm son gnìomhachas ùr mar sin.
