Launch of Gaelic push in Edinburgh

Unread post by Gràisg »

'THE publicly-funded Gaelic body Bord na Gaidhlig is to promote the language in Edinburgh, starting with a public meeting in the capital.

The meeting, on January 15 at Jury’s Inn, 43 Jeffrey Street, will focus on a “language initiative for Edinburgh” established by Comunn na Gaidhlig.

Community organisations are being formed to raise the profile of Gaelic in specific areas of Scotland, working with individuals, other organisations and businesses.

The aim is to increase the number of Gaelic speakers and expand opportunities where Gaelic can be used.'
