Waterstone's were reeeeeeally reluctant to take my order. They kept trying to convince me to buy it direct from the publisher....
Thank you for persisting. It goes something like this... some bookshops (including Waterstones) tend to buy only from their main supplier, in this case a bunch called Gardners. Gardners will only "supply" it (generally speaking) if they've decided they want it and that usally means screwing the publisher/author over price. That's how the "system" works. But the thing is, as long as it's a book in print, especially in the UK, there's no reason why any bookshop linked into Bookweb should not be able to order any title. I appreciate your help in twisting the system a bit!

Ok I'm a little worried now. I've had lots of people test my pdfs and only my brother in Germany had a problem - the same as you. I didn't understand it when he had it and I still don't. Have you tried using the free pdf Creator software?
