Best tr*nsl*t**n of "for"

Hello All,

I am in the process of trying to tr*nsl*t* a short 'grace' that is used here in the US among Boy Scouts. It's known as the "Philmont Grace", named after the Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico.

The grace is rather simple: For food, for raiment, for life, for opportunity, for friendship and fellowship, we thank thee, Oh Lord, Amen.

Just wondering what the best tr*nsl*t**n for "for" in this case would be?? I was thinking "airson" (the proper one to use in Manx is "son" which I think is the same form as 'airson').

Yes, airson + genitive.

I didn't realize the genitive was required after "airson".

You need the genitive becaue historically, it wa formed of two words: air + son. son is a noun.
