I was in Bonn for a Gaelic Weekend, and I saw a book with Grimm's fairytales, translated by Fionnlagh MacLeòid. I talked about it to M.K. and he said it's out of print.
Thug mi sùil ghoirid air agus chòrd e rium glan. Tha mòran duine eòlach air na sgeulachdan siud o chionn 's gu bheil iad glè ainmeil air feadh an t-saoghail.
I had a quick peek at it and I liked it very much. Many people know these stories, because they are famous over the world.
Nise, mar a tha mi eòlach air na sgeulachdan mu thràth, is b' urrainn dhomh an leughadh gun trioblaid sam bith, ged a bhios faclan gu leòr ann nach eil mi eòlach air.
Now, as I already know the stories, I would be able to read them without any problems, although there are quite a number of words I don't know.
Saoilidh mi gur e leabhar math a bhios ann airson an luchd le Gàidhlig ìre mheadhannach aca. Dè ur beachd-sa? Cheannaicheadh sibh leth-bhreac nam biodh e ri fhaighinn?
I think it's a good book for people with mid-level Gaelic. What do you think? Would you buy a copy if it was available?
