Chan eil mi cinnteach ma bhios duine sam bith an seo a' cleachdadh Twitter, ach tha mi air làrach-lìn ùr Gàidhlig a chruthachadh a tha gu math coltach ris: http://cristean-macmhicheil.co.uk/craic/. Ma tha beachdan aig duine sam bith airson ainm nas fhèarr nach cuir sibh fios thugam?

I'm not sure if anyone here uses Twitter, but I've created a new Gàidhlig website which is quite similar: http://cristean-macmhicheil.co.uk/craic/. If anyone has any ideas for a better name, just get in touch.

A bit of Dwelly-diving brings many nice candidates. Three notable words under "conversation":

I quite like cnacaireachd, but that's largely because of ethnocentric bias on my part. ("Crack" is a guid Germanic Scots word for conversation. We'll hae nane o thon "craic" rubbish here!)

Faighleadh I also find quite appropriate, on the grounds that twitter feeds tend to grow and spread.

Luadh is maybe to nicey-nice, but it does sound a lot like "luath", which is a nice coincidence.

Cha robh seo cho dona. Tha e a' ruith air Wordress agus tha mi gu math cleachdte ri sin a-nis. Thòisich mi ag obair air feasgar an-dè agus bha e beò as dèidh uair neo dhà.

Thanks for the suggestions Niall. Here are some more I got:

from Rhoda Meek: Chitter, Cabadaich, Banter, Bruim, Feadag, Beachd, Comhla, DDM - an Duigh, an De 'sa Maireach..

and from Alasdair Justice: Truitrich, Ciolrath

and also been given Ceilearaich

Dè ur beachd?

Cha chanainn gur e, ach bha a h-uile duine a' tighinn air ais gu craic fhad 's a bha sinn a' toirt sùil air na molaidhean eile.
