Re: Caol ri caol agus leathann ri leathann?
Slender and broad? Are these the reason for the excessive number of unused letters in gaidhlig sentences? And can someone tell me what they are an how they work please? Slender and broad all starts with vowels. E and I are "slender", because when you say them there's only a small gap betw...

In any such endeavour you need to focus on key bits, since our resources are limited. That includes teachers. So rolling out GME or classes across schools in Scotland is a) not doable and b) probably not desirable. You don't just need quantity you also need quality. Think of your average school-lea...

Very true my friend, but gaìdhlig isn't a very popular language these days, certainly not amongst english immigrants and people like these, its viewed as old-fashioned and stupid. These dudes seem to believe that having gaìdhlig on signs is silly because they seem to think it is extinct. These are b...

Samuel is sometimes equated with Somhairle but it is just a similarity of appearance. Somhairle is from Old Norse Somarlidi or Sumarliði - Summer traveller , which was a euphemism for Viking. It is written Sorley in English, and this roughly gives the Gàidhlig pronunciation. Somhairle Mac 'illeatha...
