'S e mo cho-là-breith a th' ann mar sin bidh partaidh beag agam aig m'obair còmhla ris a' chlann - tha sinn a' dèanamh cèicean
San fheasgar tha mo charaidean a' tighinn 'son dèochan a dh'òl.
It's my B'Day today so I'm having a wee party at work with the kids - making cakes.
In the evening, folk are coming for drinks.

Faodaidh
cèicean a bhith

Cakes can be dangerous too...

Alasdair, tha mi an dòchas gun robh co-latha-breith sona agaibh an-dé!
Tha mi a' feitheamh ris am plumair an-drasda. Tha fear de na pìoban-uisge a' leigeil a-mach.
Alasdair, I hope you had a happy birthday yesterday!
I am waiting for the plumber at the moment. One of the water pipes is leaking.

Back from work now, and looking at uni courses.

A bheil beachd agad dè tha thu airson dèanamh?
Do you have an idea what you want to do?
Air ais bhon obair an-dràst - an-dràsda is an older spelling, but you need the à in any case.

Tha mi ag èisdeachd ri ceòl agus ag ith teòclaid a-nochd. Is toil leam a bhith a' trèanadh cuideachd - a bhith a' trèanadh anns an aikido .
I am listening to music and eating chocolate tonight. I also like training - to be training in aikido.

Tha mi ag obair anns an oifis a-nis. Chan eil mi ro thoilichte an-dràsda...
Ach tha mi a' dèanamh strì an t-òran le Uilleam MacDhùnlèibhe ("EIRIN A GUL") a leaghadh eadar obairean eile.
A bheil sin ceart? -- Chan eil mi cinnteach idir.
I am working in the office now. I am not very glad just now...
But I am trying to read the poem by William Livingston ("Ireland Weeping") between other works.
Is it correct? -- I am not sure at all.

Tha e 4 uairean 'sa mhatainn agus chan eil mi a deanmamh càil sam bith. Tha agam ri chàdail a dheanamh ach chan urrainn dhomh, ged a bhios mi glè thrang a-maireach. Cha bhi mi cho sona madainn a-maireach.
4am no sleep, very busy tomorrow but can't sleep, won't be too happy tomorrow morning.

Is dòcha gu bheil d' inntinn ro thrang
Maybe your mind is too busy
Tha sin ceart, a luchag bhochd. Ach: obair, obrach, obraichean

I am resting today. I was in Wales yesterday.
